The perspective of instruction I strive
for is in direct
relation to the
demand of real world customer and
employer demands placed on the designer.

These programs are
the foundation for the industry and a must
understand for anyone
looking at working
the business in a
serious way.

I believe very strongly
about how this is approached in the process of the courses.

Indesign – Indesign is Adobe's page layout application. Its popularity has been growing steadily in the press industry and has been dubbed the Quark Killer. It has all the functionality of QuarkXpress at a lower price. Some of the advantages of this program being many of the tools available in Photoshop and Illustrator are also available right in Indesign, allowing for more creativity within one program and seamless integration between the three programs.

Beginning Computer Basics – This is a course that is focused on those who have never been in front of a computer and need to start at square one. From starting and shutting down the computer and on from there. Its a class that I feel this class is essential for those people who have just purchased their first computer or for those changing careers and are going to be working in an environment that will require basic computer skills.

Microsoft Word – MicrosoftWord is a crucial word processing program used for a wide range of tasks in the office or home environment. While its main function is word processing letters, resumes, lists etc. It can also be used for much more. You can do flyers including graphics and clip art and the word art function allows for some creative headers, or you can set up your own billing forms using the cells and tables features.

Networking – This course is a part of a certification program for students wanting to pursue a career in computer networking. There is a demand in this field for nearly every large company with a network of computers. Someone has to be able to maintain and monitor the LAN or local area network. This class can be offered in parallel with A+ certification.

A+ Certification
– This course is a prep course for A+ the certification test and real world job preparation. It is geared also to basic components of the computer, to identify the structure and function of these parts, and enable the learner to replace components etc. The hands on training and available support Seedling Productions offers is priceless in this area.
